Bottle and Cage

Bottle and Cage

#10 Water Bottle and cage.

Hydration is key anytime of year and You need to take the water with you. Most bikes have water bottle bolts built in to the frame that the cages can be mounted to. If your bike is older and does not have the bolt holes there are ways to make it work. Come on in and we will help you out.

Mirror

Mirror

#9 Mirror.

When flying down the road with the wind in your face, sometimes it is hard to hear cars come up behind you. It can be quite a startle to be passed by a big truck unexpectedly. With a mirror you can keep an eye on what’s coming up from behind. A mirror is especially wise for those using an iPod while they ride. You can get mirrors that mount to your handlebars, eye glasses or your helmet. Come in to check them out.

Flat Repair

Flat Repair

#8 Flat Repair Kit.

There is nothing worse than getting fifteen miles from home and getting a flat. (even one mile is a long way to walk) A spare tube, tire levers, patch kit and an inflation device are all pretty important to get you back on the road and back home. If you have questions on how to change a flat, ask us for help and we can give you a tutorial!

Multi Tool

Multi Tool

#7 Multi Tool.

Sometimes you need more the the flat repair kit. Whether it is a repair or maybe just a saddle adjustment a multi tool can come in very handy. (Some even have a bottle opener for the important stuff!)

saddle bag

Saddle Bag

#6 Seat Bag.

After you collect all your tools and repair kits you will need a way to carry them. A seat bag is a good way to carry your emergency repair items. The bags come in several sizes so you can have more room for other items

Jand Bag

Jand Bag

#5 Cell Phone Holder.

For some the best repair kit is to just call some one and say come pick me up. There are cool little bags that can hold your cell phone and hold them close to the handle bars so it is close at hand. Having one of these makes it easy to order a Steve’s Pizza on the way home so it is ready when you get back. Yummy!

Lube

Lube

#4 Lube Dude!

You don’t want to be the dude with the squeaky chain that no one wants to ride with.

Socks

Socks

#3 SOCKS.

(yes, they are so cool they warrant capitalization.)

They come in all kinds of colors and styles, comfy and breathable. And you will look so cool and make all the other riders jealous.

Computer

Computer

#2 Computer.

It is so fun to keep track of your mileage and see how fast you are screaming down hill. A computer can keep track of your mileage, speed, time, temperature, and even a clock to make sure you get home on time.

Everyone wants one, but not everyone has one.
