Women's Weekly Rides

Monday-Friday, 6:15 AM (yes, AM)
Wednesday, 6 PM

Feel like getting out and spinning while chatting and getting to know other cycling women? These rides are geared for you. Meet behind the shop for great company, conversation and cardio! These group rides are geared to be easy-going and are open to all level cyclists.

Men's Rides

Well, perhaps this should say "Competitive, Testosterone Driven Rides". We still need a leader for a weekly mens ride. These rides are generally well attended, but I need someone to be the "leader of the pack" (vroom vroom...brings a song to mind.) As much as I wish I could, spring in the shop is just too busy for me to get away. If you're interested PLEASE please give me a call at 348.6888.

Construction on Main Street

We are well under way with the Main Street construction project. Although our front entrance is now difficult to get to, the rear entrance is always available. Use the municipal parking lot or our two stalls in the back of the store labeled "25 West Main" and come on in! You will know were the bike shop is by all the bicycles parked in racks near the door.

Apology: wrong ride info.

I'm sorry - as you can see by the above security camera photo, my little shop gnome had a few too many and got into the email program and sent out our weekly rides email without my approval...and it had an error. Please see his apology note below:

Dear Momentum folks,

I apologize for sending out the wrong date of the women's bike ride. You see, I was afraid that if my fellow gnomes knew the women actually ride on WEDNESDAY nights (not Thursday) they would all show up to cheer the sexy women in spandex on. Soon Master Tim would discover that there were more great shop gnomes out there that he could adopt and get rid of me. But I have realized that Master Tim is MUCH too kind to do such a thing (right Master Tim?)

My humblest apologies. Please note that the Women's evening rides are WEDNESDAY nights at 6 pm.

One World, Two Wheels

A while back I told you about Trek's awesome new biking idea. It's quite simple
really:

One World, Two Wheels
For anything less than two miles go by bike.

A novel concept really. I'm on board big time and I hope you'll join me. (For more info on this campaign, visit the official site.) Granted, I realize the weather isn't so great right now, but it's still do-able (if you've been reading my emails you know about all the great cold weather gear Momentum Bikes carries). And if you're really not a cold weather cyclist it's okay. Now is the time to start thinking about biking in the spring. We have the sweet new 2008 models ready to go and they are quite sweet, if I do say so myself. Please come check them out (and buy one!) or bring your bike in for a tune up so you are ready as soon as the warm weather hits!

Let's join together and make the earth (and all of us humans in it) a bit healthier!
